Photography Lessons for D of E Students
Please Note – applications now open
If you are interested in taking photography for your Skill Strand, then please take a look below and see if this is for you. If so, then all you need to do is apply at the bottom of this page.
Closing date for Applications is Thursday 14th November
This strand runs for three months (with a break for Christmas) and covers the basics of both the technical and creative aspects of photography, so after the course you will be better able to take well composed technically strong and creative images.
During the course, we will meet for sessions as a group and in between classes, I will set you a photographic challenge that you will need to complete and send to me before the next time we meet. In the sessions, we cover a new topic each time, usually try things out with a practical session and review all your photos from the challenges as a group, where you will share with the group your pictures and we will discuss all as a group.
The course will run on Monday evenings, from 6pm to 7:30pm at Upper School, so you need to be able to get there and home afterwards.
The first date for the course will be 25th November
All you need is the use of a camera. It doesn’t need to be the latest biggest brightest camera, but ideally one where you can change settings is best as we will look at this as part of the course. If in doubt, please ask.
The course costs just £15 which covers the costs of the materials used and includes your end of course framed print which you keep as a memory.
If you’d like to apply, then please see below. As well as your name and school email (or your parent’s email), please include a short statement (max 100 words) as to why you would like to do this course.
Closing date for applications will be Thursday 14th November.
Any questions, then please contact me.
Applying is simple. If you can answer “yes” to these questions then please send an email to me, with your name, team and either your school email or your parents email address along with a maximum 100 words for why you would like to take part in this course.
